Make Up Forever Aqua Cream #12 | Review and Swatches

If you read my recent post about my Make Up Forever Haul (here) you’ll know that I picked up my fair share of goodies from them when they recently launched in Debenhams. I have had a while to play with all the products now, and this particular item has definitely stood out to me…

The Make Up Forever Aqua Cream in 12 is described as a ‘golden copper’. It is a gorgeous metallic warm gold, that does lean on the side of orange, particularly when my skin is paler. I have three aqua creams now and I adore the formula of them; they’re creamy enough that they glide easily on to the eyelids, but are not so creamy that they slip and slide off your eyes. I personally struggle with cream eyeshadows as my eyelids are quite oily. Most formulas will crease on me in a few hours if I don’t wear an eyeshadow primer underneath (the Nars being my favourite). What is great about this one is that they last so much longer on me than other formulas I’ve tried, and I do get a good 8 hours of wear without creasing. I am one to err on the side of caution so I do tend to wear one anyway, but this is definitely one I’d recommend for those who experience similar issues. Another amazing aspect to this is that, like the rest of the ‘Aqua’ products, it is waterproof, making it incredible for summer.

This is one of those products that I can see myself applying on its own all over my eye as a quick summer look. In my opinion this is stunning on blue eyes, but I can see this working on so many different colourings. Have you tried any of the Aqua Creams? Which are your favourites?
