I will be the first to admit that I am a dry shampoo addict. It is one of the only beauty products that is an absolute staple in my collection and feel a little lost without it. Now I have been very loyal to the Batiste Dry Shampoo for quite a while now, mainly because of how good it is for its price tag, but when a new launch sells out in Space NK and becomes increasingly difficult to get your hands on, I just had to get my hands on it…
I thought I would start off with a little background on my hair. I prefer to only wash my hair two or three times a week, as this is it how feels the most healthy and it considerably cuts down my morning routine. It’s naturally oily at the roots, but I’ve noticed after cutting down the frequency of washing it has become far more manageable. The main reason I love dry shampoo is that it helps extend the time between washes, and keeps my hair looking fresh.
I first heard about the Living Proof Healthy Hair Dry Shampoo when it launched in the U.S. and all of the American vloggers were raving about it and how this was it actually cleaned you hair. It wasn’t until the launch in the UK when I thought about purchasing it but by the time I was ready to take the plunge, I couldn’t find it anywhere. You can imagine, as the beauty junkie that I am, that this sent off alarm bells in my head as I needed to get this ASAP.
Lo and behold, I recently saw this sitting on the shelf in my local M&S and it came straight home with me without a second thought. On initial use, I was obsessed with the product. It did exactly what I thought it would do and left my hair feeling and looking really clean (I’m sure most of you have experience the extreme residue and white cast of many dry shampoos out there). My hair looked fluffy and freshly washed, and smelled divine. It barely feels like there is any product in your hair and it is much harder to have a talcum powder-esque hair disaster…
After a few weeks of use, I am still completely in love this product. My one and only issue is that I’m worried about how quickly I’m going to go through a can and how expensive it will be to repurchase. At £22 a bottle (!) this is not a cheap option, but if you have the cash to spare and dry shampoo is a must-have in your routine, I would highly recommend.
This leaves me in a bit of a predicament. Do I love the product? Yes. Do I think it’s the worth the money? Yes. Do I want to spend £22 on a dry shampoo? Not so sure. I would love to know your thoughts on this – would you or do you splurge on a dry shampoo? Leave me a comment below!
