I am not really experimental when it comes to powders. I have a few I really love, namely the Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural and the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders, so admittedly I never get that curious about trying something new. However, there was a certain powder that has repeatedly been popping up and getting rave reviews, and as I was in need of a replacement, I thought I might as well give it a go…
The Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Skin Perfecting Micro-Powder retails at £33. There are some serious claims for this powder; it is supposed to be meant to be ultra-perfecting and blurring, but also contain nourishing ingredients to repair the skin and keep the skin looking luminous all day. I have the trouble that I really dislike the look of overly-powdered and matte skin but I still want to set my makeup to lock it in place all day. For these very reasons this powder on paper sounded ideal.
I am extremely excited to say that I think that this powder definitely fulfils these claims. This powder definitely fits the ‘powder-that-doesn’t-really-look-like-powder’ category and manages to perfect the skin without intensely mattifying or adding a lot of coverage. It only comes in three shades, and although I can’t speak for every skin tone, because of the light coverage, I feel that you can get away with a shade that doesn’t completely match your skin tone.
A short but sweet review, but I honestly have nothing but good things to say about this powder. Everything I have tried from Charlotte Tilbury so far is incredible – I’m really falling in love with the line. Have you tried anything? What is your favourite?
