September Favourites | Makeup

Blogging has definitely taken a back seat in my life recently, but I am soo ready to get back into the swing of things! What better way than to kick if off with a favourites post? This month I have been pulling out some of my go-to products and have discovered some absolute gems.

In terms of base, I have been loving the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. Now I have written so much about this foundation on my blog now (full review here), but to summarise, this makes my skin look incredible and it lasts all day long, despite having a slightly glowy finish. I also can’t put down the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer. It pretty much does exactly what the name suggests; it works incredibly as both an under eye concealer and a more targeted spot concealer without looking cakey or heavy.

When it comes to cheeks, I have definitely been channeling bronzed skin. My most used bronzer, Nars Laguna (full post here) has been very well loved this month. It is the perfect golden tone that warms up the skin without looking muddy or orange. For blush, I have been consistently reaching for Mac Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul. This is the blush I will pick when I don’t know what to wear as it will complement any look. It gives the skin a warm glow and just perfectly finishes off a bronzed look.

Mascara is something I haven’t been too faithful to of late, but I may have discovered a new favourite. I got the L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes So Couture as part of a gift with purchase, so I wasn’t expecting much. I was so surprised when I first starting using it that it made my lashes look incredible – volume, definition, separation, the lot.

Finally, my absolute favourite lip colour to wear right now is mauve (expect a dedicated post very soon). I spoke about Mac Whirl Lip Liner in one of my latest posts and I have been loving it ever since. The pinky-mauve has become a daily go-to for me; it’s a slightly autumnal spin on a nude lip. A new purchase that I have been wanting to get my hands on for what seems like forever is the Stila Liquid Lipstick in Patina. This has quickly become one of my favourite lipstick colour of all time – it is neutral so is easy to wear, but still brings a pop of colour to your look. Expect a more in depth post of this…

What have been your favourites of the month? I am definitely in a transitional stage with my makeup right now; the dark shades are slowly making their way back into the daily routine which I couldn’t be more excited about.
